Facebook is increasingly becoming a source for our news; not in the sense that Facebook itself has reporters, but in the sense that our friends and community provide us with links to access the news in unprecedented ways. Thing is, our friends typically have the same or similar beliefs as we do–meaning that the news we see is limited to a small band of beliefs which reduces the chances that we’ll see challenging information and data.
Is this good? Is this bad? Or is it just…it?
